Annapurna Circuit is a nearly 300 kilometres walk arround the gigantic 8000m peaks of Annapurna. I did it together with Bjarne, Trine, Runhild, Mona and Neil (in addition to one guide and 3 porters from Nepal) in the autumn of 2000. Here is my extensive travel diary from the 18 days of trekking in the splendid highland of Nepal (Norwegian language only).

I had been dreaming of this mountain for at least a year or so. In the summer of 2000 I went to Zermatt to start the preparation and acclimatizing. The first week I ascended a couple of 4000 meters peaks (Breithorn and Rimpfischorn), and then I headed for Chamonix to fulfil my dream.....
